In Ephesians 4:11-16, the apostle Paul tells us that believers are to be equipped to do the work of service given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. This year at First Presbyterian, in addition to regular weekly growth avenues, members will have three great equipping opportunities throughout the year. These Equip sessions will be on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm with childcare provided. There will be three different tracks you can attend dealing with three different areas of growth.
- Christ and Culture: This track will deal with how we think and engage God, people, and the world (reformed distinctives, engaging culture, “hot” cultural topics in the world)
- Church and Leadership: This track will deal with areas that build up the church (worship, how to teach, leadership, spiritual gifts, PCA)
- Gospel in Life: This track will deal with applying the Word to all areas of daily life (marriage, parenting, finances, counseling issues, evangelism)
You won’t want to miss these opportunities for growth! Makes plans now to attend! The dates for 2011-2012 are September 17th, February 4th, and May 5th.
On February 3rd – 4th, we will be doing Evangelism Training using the XPRESS Your Faith Seminar. There will be a $5.00 fee at the door. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!
