Hurricanes Florence and Michael have caused catastrophic damage in the South East, including South Georgia. MNA Disaster Response is in contact with local PCA leadership to begin the process of assessing damages and preparing for the future. There are several things we, as a church, can do NOW:

  • Pray: Please pray for relief from the storm and for those being rescued and affected by this storm.
  • Give generously: Please consider giving to this relief effort! Funds given through MNA will be used for assessment, mobilization, relief grants for flooded PCA families and churches, to purchase needed supplies and equipment, and to setup and operate flood recovery sites.
    • Monetary gifts may be given by check or credit card:
      • For online credit card donations, please click here to give directly to MNA
      • For checks given through the church, please make check out to “FPC” and write “MNA Relief Fund” in the memo line. Then:
        1. Place checks in the Sunday offering plate
        2. Or mail checks directly to FPC
  • Relief Kits: There are three different types of relief kits: (click the links below to learn more about each type of kit and how to assemble one.) Flood BucketsBedding Kits, and Hygiene Kits
    • FPC will collect kit supplies and completed kits in the Brickyard beginning Sunday, September 23. Please leave collection items in the designated crate in the Brickyard or bring them to the church office during weekday office hours. For further instructions on how to prepare these needed kits, please click this link: Relief Kit Directions
  • Volunteer to Serve:
    • Organize a team to serve in North or South Carolina:
      1. MNA Disaster Response Teams: If you would like to form your own team with coworkers or friends, learn more about the process below:
        • Pre-register your intent to serve by clicking here. Teams must be self-contained, not depending on the local church for hosting. Day trippers from the surrounding presbyteries can make the best impact. A longer term recovery effort is anticipated and in the planning stages. Check the MNA website for details as they develop. Because needs are being updated by the minute, please contact Sherry Lanier at or 678-294-3012 to find out how and when you can volunteer.
      2. Samaritan’s
    • Serve with FPC in the Future: As relief efforts progress, FPC leadership will stay in contact with MNA Disaster Response and affected presbyteries to assess needs and organize teams to Go and help. This is our resource page for current information. Please check back for additional updates:
