Students need a Biblical framework to help
them make decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.
Through discipleship and prayer groups, fellowship times,
retreats, and summer mission trips, we help students apply the
truths
of God’s Word to their lives and equip them to share
the love of Christ with their peers.
Our Youth Ministry is open to all interested

Sunday School
Come to Jr. High Sunday School from 10:10-11:00 a.m. as we dive into God's
Word and discover truth that will rock your world. Be ready for some great
teaching and of course, doughnuts. We meet in room Y220 in the Youth and Christian Education
Building.
HigherGround
HigherGround is our junior high large group meetings on Wednesday’s...
crazy games, great worship...awesome messages....having fun with your friends.
The buses will pick you up at FPD’s soccer parking lot at 5:30 p.m. and will
drop you back off there at 8:00. Remember to bring money for Dairy Queen!
Discipleship Groups
Led by an adult, these are groups of students the same age that study the Word,
pray together, and hold each other accountable. Contact Hunter for more details.
Project Sweat
Project Sweat is an in-town service project for High School students. Students
will participate in various types of yard and house work for those in our
congregation and community who are needy in some way. The team will stay
at FPC together, and play on Lake Tobesofkee each evening where the team
members will be able to recreate and rest. Project Sweat is a great opportunity
to serve others and to have a blast!
The Edge
The Edge is a Jr. High retreat held at the campus of Covenant College in Lookout
Mountain, GA. This is a “counselor centered” conference, which
means that free time has been built into the schedule for youth leaders to
spend with their students. This will enable relationships to be built that
will reinforce the Scriptural truths which are being taught at the meetings.
One of the primary goals of the conference is that students leave The Edge
keenly aware that God is who He says He is and that we are called to respond
to Him.

Uptown
Uptown is the large group meeting for Sr. High students! Come each Sunday night
from 7:00-8:30 to worship together and hear awesome messages from our speakers.

Discipleship Groups
Growing deep in your relationship with Christ is what D-groups are all about.
Led by an adult, these are groups of 5-7 students from 9th-12th grades who study
the Word, pray together, and hold each other accountable. Contact Hunter

International Missions Trip
Every year a group of our senior high students are part of a team that goes
to another country to advance the Kingdom of Christ! Typically we do construction
in the mornings, and VBS or Sports Clinics with local children in the afternoons. In past years, we have gone to Mexico and Belize. This is a great
opportunity to minister to our international brothers and sisters in Christ!
Beach Retreat
This trip is one of the highlights of the summer, and we would love for you
to come and be a part of it! This is a laid back trip, with plenty of time
to refresh and rejuvenate your soul and body before school starts back up!
Join us as we head down to Hilton Head Island to worship together, play together,
and hear from an awesome speaker! |
