First Presbyterian Church is committed to supporting overseas mission work, especially ministries which focus on church planting and leadership training. Whether you’re interested in contributing financially to our supported ministries, going on a short term, overseas missions trip, or attending our yearly Missions Conference, there are many ways to actively serve those outside of the United States.
The Missions Committee of First Presbyterian Church supports +/- 30 individual missionaries on an annual basis. Click on the links below for Biographies and Latest Newsletters from each of our missionaries and supported organizations.

This program allows FPC Macon to stand beside several of our long-time supported global ministry partners beyond the individual support level.
This program continues to expand. Our current Major Partners include the following. Learn more by clicking on each ministry name to view their website.
Missionary Apparel Closet
First Presbyterian Church began the Missionary Apparel Closet in December of 1996 with the desire to assist with the needs of missionaries and their families. The clothing is donated by our church members and others. Missionaries who attend our annual conference or visit throughout the year are given the opportunity to select from a variety of styles and types of clothing.
To date, we have served approximately 350 missionary families through the Apparel Closet. Additionally, we have shared with other charitable organizations and ministries which provide for the needs of people in our local community. There is never any cost to the recipients.
If you would like to donate new or almost new clothing to the Apparel Closet, please bring your items (on hangers if possible) to the Administration Office. Business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.
If you have further questions regarding the Missionary Apparel Closet, please call the Church Office at 478.746.3223.
How Can I Help Now?
Wondering how you can support specific missionaries or projects today? Our annual World Missions Conference, held in February of each year, is the best opportunity to connect with missionaries and organizations that our church supports. Please visit our Missions Board located in the brickyard for specific needs of the attendees from our most recent Mission Conference. A list of those current prayer and financial needs is available here.
