Our corporate worship is the pinnacle of all that happens in our local congregation. Our services are centered around these Biblical elements: prayer, reading and preaching of God’s Word, giving, and the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. The 9 and 11:15 am Sunday services are identical and normally last one hour.
First and foremost, come as you are. But, just in case you’re wondering how most people around here will be dressed, on Sunday mornings a lot of guys wear suits, or khakis with a polo or button up shirt. Ladies wear pants, skirts, and dresses. Most importantly though we look forward to seeing you, not what you’re wearing.
Parking at a new church on Sunday mornings can be stressful, especially at our historical downtown location. Here are a few pointers to guide you if you are not yet familiar with our church campus.
FPC Macon is located at the corner of First Street and Mulberry Street. We have two main lots for parking located across First Street from our sanctuary building. The lower lot is reserved for Guests and Special Need Parking. The upper lot is available for all other parking needs.
Additional street parking is available along First Street and along Mulberry Street. Please be aware of “No Parking” signs, especially those with time constraints which may apply to Sunday mornings. Parking at The Grand Opera House parking lot is allowed when no other events are taking place at The Grand. Be advised that FPC Macon does not own or rent the spaces in this lot.
The City of Macon recently installed parking meters on downtown streets. Parking meters are enforced Monday – Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This will not impact parking for Sunday Morning Worship. However, please be advised that meters will affect parking during normal weekday activities.
Take a look at a map of our parking areas here.

Children’s Bible Lesson
We offer a bible lesson and music for children in pre-k through second grade during the morning services. Children will be dismissed from the service and escorted to their classroom before the sermon, as noted in the bulletin. Please pick up your children after the 9am service or Sunday School on the second floor of Cornerstone or after the 11:15am service in the nursery. If this is your first Sunday at FPC, please walk your child to the bible lesson to check them in.
Nursery care is provided for 3K and under from 8:45am – 12:15am. We also provide a mother/infant room located in the nursery with a live video feed of the service, as well as a “cry room” downstairs from the sanctuary for parents of “fussy” children with an audio feed. Ushers are available to direct you.
