The Ministries Committee of the Diaconate has decided to devote the Deacon’s Fund collection this Sunday, September 8 to MNA disaster relief. Mike from the Charles H. Jones Disaster Relief Warehouse in Rome, GA notified us that a trailer of supplies shipped out yesterday and is positioned to respond to areas of need after Hurricane Dorian makes landfall in the US. Leather work gloves and safety glasses or goggles need to be replenished with all other stock in the warehouse being in good shape for now.
Please encourage folks to give to the deacons fund this Sunday or anytime during the month of September to benefit relief efforts. If your Sunday School classes or ministry groups would like to have a needs drive, please consider leather work gloves or safety glasses. Please continue to pray that the storm turns away from the coastal areas.
