Director of the Macon Fellows Program

Rachel hails from the picturesque town of Orange City, IA where she spent her youth wearing wooden shoes, building snow forts and riding her bike all over her small town.  After graduating from Dordt College in 2005 she promptly left the country and spent the next 4 years as a missionary teacher in Managua, Nicaragua.  Recognizing a desire to be a more educated Bible teacher, she left the mission field and enrolled at Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis, MO where she received a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies.  An internship in youth ministry changed the direction of her career and in 2012 she moved to Houston, TX and served as a Student Ministry Coordinator at Christ the King Presbyterian Church.  In 2017 she said ‘Adios!’ to queso and cowboys and moved to Macon, GA to begin her role as Director of the Macon Fellows Program and Assistant Director of Young Adults here at FPC.
