Children's Ministry at FPC Macon

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me" - Matthew 19:14

The Children's Ministry at First Presbyterian Church exists to partner with families in helping children know Christ and make Christ known. We desire to provide a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment where every child is loved, known, and encouraged to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through faithful biblical teaching, worship, prayer, and authentic community, we seek to lay a strong foundation of faith rooted in God's Word. As a community of children, parents, and volunteers, we strive to love God, love one another, and love the city of Macon. Our prayer is that every child would experience the beauty of the gospel, trust in Christ, and follow Him faithfully all the days of their life.

wednesday Nights

Our Wednesday night children's program is designed to help children in K4–5th grade grow in their knowledge and love of God through biblical teaching, worship, and Christian community. From 6:00–7:30 PM, children enjoy Bible study, choir, crafts, games, and Scripture memory in a fun and engaging environment.

This year, we'll continue walking through the story of Scripture using The Biggest Story Bible, focusing on the Gospels as we begin with the birth of Jesus. Children will also learn Kids' Catechism Questions 1–10 and practice Bible memory throughout the year.

Nursery is available for children ages 3 and under during Wednesday evening activities from 5:45-7:30PM.

Our Wednesday Night programming runs from September - April, and will resume September 2, 2026. Click below to learn more and to register.

Child Protection

The safety of every child entrusted to our care is a top priority at First Presbyterian Church. We are committed to providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment where children can learn and grow, and where parents can have confidence that their children are well cared for.

Our Nursery and Children's areas are secured with key fob access, allowing entry only to authorized staff, volunteers, members, and regular attending families. Children may only be picked up by a parent or guardian or by an individual who has been authorized in writing by the parent. This policy includes grandparents and other family members. For the safety of our children, siblings are not permitted to pick up children from the Nursery.

First-time guests are warmly welcomed and assisted through our secure check-in process upon arrival. All volunteers serving with children complete background checks and receive child protection training as part of our commitment to providing a safe environment for every family.
