Andy Young, speaker

Andy is married to Davinia and they are blessed with 4 daughters - Alicia (19) who was recently married, Emelia (17), Beatrice (15), & Arabella (10). After 10 years serving in a Presbyterian Church in Cheltenham, UK, Andy was sent to plant a church in Oxford. The first services were on 30 September 2018 and since then the Lord has grown the church through adding families, students, and seeing several people come to faith in Jesus Christ. The Covid pandemic saw the church unable to meet in person for 18 months, and yet through the many difficulties this caused, the church further grew. After outgrowing the venues we were using for our morning and evening services, the Lord wonderfully opened the door for us to use an historic church in the center of Oxford. It is called the North Gate Hall and initially we secured a long-term lease to convert it back to a church. More recently we have bought the building outright and are currently in the middle of major renovations. With all of this going on the church continues to grow with our student ministry tripling in size in the last 6 months and many non-Christians coming to faith and showing real interest in the gospel. Please pray for the Lord to help us make the most of the abundance of gospel opportunities before us. Please also pray that the many non-Christians coming to our services and events would put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord.

What is Equip?

Christians are called to live "in" the world but not to be "of" the world. This distinction is vital for us to be faithful to our calling to love God and love our neighbor and seek first the kingdom of God. During EQUIP 2025 we will walk through who we are and who we need to be to be useful in the mission of Jesus, how we can understand the challenges and encouragements of living when and where we do right now in our culture, how we can proactively reach our culture in obedience to the Great Commission, and how God's will is to carry out his gospel mission for the world through the Church.
